| 8 | 14 | SECTION 1. Section 521.460(b), Transportation Code, is | |
| 9 | 15 | amended to read as follows: | |
| 10 | 16 | (b) A person may not rent a motor vehicle to a renter | |
| 11 | 17 | [another person] until the person has inspected [inspecting] the | |
| 12 | 18 | renter's driver's license [of the renter and comparing and | |
| 13 | 19 | verifying the signature on the renter's driver's license with the | |
| 14 | 20 | renter's signature written in the person's presence]. | |
