| 9 | 9 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Section 251.153(c), Utilities Code, is amended | |
| 11 | 11 | to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | (c) Not later than two hours after the time the notification | |
| 13 | 13 | center receives a notice of intent to excavate from an excavator or | |
| 14 | 14 | from a different notification center, the notification center shall | |
| 15 | 15 | notify: | |
| 16 | 16 | (1) each member operator that may have an underground | |
| 17 | 17 | facility in the vicinity of the proposed excavation operation; and | |
| 18 | 18 | (2) each owner of land in the proposed area of | |
| 19 | 19 | excavation. | |
| 20 | 20 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
