11	6		AN ACT
12	7		relating to the state historic sites and parks under the
13	8		jurisdiction of the Texas Historical Commission.
14	9		BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
15	10		SECTION 1. Section 442.072(a), Government Code, is amended
16	11		to read as follows:
17	12		(a) The following historic sites and parks are under the
18	13		commission's jurisdiction:
19	14		(1) Acton State Historic Site;
20	15		(2) Caddo [Caddoan] Mounds State Historic Site;
21	16		(3) Casa Navarro State Historic Site;
22	17		(4) Confederate Reunion Grounds State Historic Site;
23	18		(5) Eisenhower Birthplace State Historic Site;
24	19		(6) Fannin Battleground State Historic Site;
25	20		(7) Fanthorp Inn State Historic Site;
26	21		(8) Fort Griffin State Historic Site;
27	22		(9) Fort Lancaster State Historic Site;
28	23		(10) Fort McKavett State Historic Site;

55	50		SECTION 2. The heading to Section 442.076, Government Code,
56	51		is amended to read as follows:
57	52		Sec. 442.076. FRENCH LEGATION STATE HISTORIC SITE.
58	53		SECTION 3. Sections 442.076(a) and (b), Government Code,
59	54		are amended to read as follows:
60	55		(a) The commission is responsible for:
61	56		(1) the preservation, maintenance, and restoration of
62	57		the [property known as the] French Legation State Historic Site
63	58		[and its contents]; and
64	59		(2) the protection of the historical and architectural
65	60		integrity of the building exterior, building interior, and grounds
66	61		of the French Legation State Historic Site.
67	62		(b) Any power or duty related to the French Legation State
68	63		Historic Site formerly vested in another state agency or entity is
69	64		vested solely in the commission.
70	65		SECTION 4. Section 442.077, Government Code, is amended to
71	66		read as follows:
72	67		Sec. 442.077. AGREEMENT RELATING TO FRENCH LEGATION STATE
73	68		HISTORIC SITE. The commission may enter into an agreement with the
74	69		Daughters of the Republic of Texas regarding the management,
75	70		staffing, parking facilities, operation, and financial support of
76	71		the [property known as the] French Legation State Historic Site.
77	72		SECTION 5. The heading to Subchapter G, Chapter 442,
78	73		Government Code, is amended to read as follows:
79	74		SUBCHAPTER G. PORT ISABEL LIGHTHOUSE STATE HISTORIC SITE
80	75		[HISTORICAL MONUMENT AND PARK]
81	76		SECTION 6. Section 442.271, Government Code, is amended to
82	77		read as follows:
83	78		Sec. 442.271. JURISDICTION. (a) The Port Isabel
84	79		Lighthouse State Historic Site is a state historical monument and
85	80		park and is under the jurisdiction of the commission.
86	81		(b) The Port Isabel Lighthouse State Historic Site
87	82		[Historical Monument and Park] is a historic site for purposes of
88	83		Subchapter C.
89	84		SECTION 7. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021.
