| 8 | 8 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 9 | 9 | SECTION 1. Section 502.00211, Transportation Code, is | |
| 10 | 10 | amended to read as follows: | |
| 11 | 11 | Sec. 502.00211. DESIGN OF REGISTRATION INSIGNIA. (a) The | |
| 12 | 12 | department shall prepare the designs and specifications to be used | |
| 13 | 13 | as the registration insignia. | |
| 14 | 14 | (b) At the beginning of each calendar year, the department | |
| 15 | 15 | shall change the color of the registration insignia to be a color | |
| 16 | 16 | that is easily distinguishable from the color of an insignia issued | |
| 17 | 17 | in the preceding calendar year. | |
| 18 | 18 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
