11 | 11 | SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 161, Health and Safety | |
12 | 12 | Code, is amended by adding Section 161.007066 to read as follows: | |
13 | 13 | Sec. 161.007066. COVID-19 EXPERT VACCINE ALLOCATION PANEL; | |
14 | 14 | PRIORITIZATION OF PUBLIC SCHOOL EMPLOYEES. (a) The COVID-19 | |
15 | 15 | Expert Vaccine Allocation Panel convened to develop | |
16 | 16 | recommendations for the allocation of COVID-19 vaccines for the | |
17 | 17 | commissioner shall prioritize the allocation and distribution of | |
18 | 18 | vaccines for public school employees. | |
19 | 19 | (b) This section expires January 1, 2023. | |
20 | 20 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | |
21 | 21 | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | |
22 | 22 | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | |
23 | 23 | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | |
24 | 24 | Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
