1110 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1211 SECTION 1. Section 4101.052, Insurance Code, is amended by
1312 adding Subsection (c) to read as follows:
1413 (c) For the purpose of Subsection (a) as it relates to
15- adjusters, the commissioner shall allow an individual to apply for
16- a license electronically using the National Association of
17- Insurance Commissioners Uniform Application for Individual
18- Adjuster or Apprentice License/Registration as it existed on May 1,
19- 2021.
14+ adjusters described by Section 4101.001(a)(1)(C), the commissioner
15+ shall prescribe the National Association of Insurance
16+ Commissioners Uniform Application for Individual Adjuster or
17+ Apprentice License/Registration as it existed on May 1, 2021.
2018 SECTION 2. Section 4101.053, Insurance Code, is amended by
2119 adding Subsection (e) to read as follows:
2220 (e) The commissioner shall take any action necessary for
2321 this state to participate in and adopt the application procedures
2422 of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners National
2523 Insurance Producer Registry for the purpose of licensing and
26- license renewal for independent adjusters.

2726 SECTION 3. The commissioner of insurance shall adopt rules
2827 to implement Section 4101.053(e), Insurance Code, as added by this
29- Act, not later than September 1, 2022.

3029 SECTION 4. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021.
