| 9 | 9 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 53, Water Code, is amended | |
| 11 | 11 | by adding Section 53.089 to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | Sec. 53.089. ELECTION AND CANDIDATE INFORMATION. (a) A | |
| 13 | 13 | district shall include information about elections and candidates | |
| 14 | 14 | for elections as required by this section with a district's bill to | |
| 15 | 15 | a customer. | |
| 16 | 16 | (b) The district shall include the following, as applicable | |
| 17 | 17 | to the next election to be held by the district: | |
| 18 | 18 | (1) the date, time, and place of the election; and | |
| 19 | 19 | (2) the name of each candidate for the election and | |
| 20 | 20 | whether or not the candidate is an incumbent. | |
| 21 | 21 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
