814 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
915 SECTION 1. Section 8109.101(a), Special District Local Laws
1016 Code, is amended to read as follows:
1117 (a) At any time before the district issues indebtedness
1218 secured by taxes or net revenues, the district, including any
1319 annexed territory, may be divided into an original district and one
1420 or more new districts. The board shall determine which portion of
1521 the divided area constitutes the original district. The original
1622 district and a district created by the division of the original
1723 district may be divided under this section more than once.
1824 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021.
