| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Chapter 45, Human Resources Code, is repealed. | |
| 11 | 11 | SECTION 2. The repeal of Chapter 45, Human Resources Code, | |
| 12 | 12 | by this Act does not affect a cause of action or defense created by | |
| 13 | 13 | that chapter that arises as a result of conduct occurring before the | |
| 14 | 14 | effective date of this Act. That cause of action or defense is | |
| 15 | 15 | governed by the law in effect immediately before the effective date | |
| 16 | 16 | of this Act, and that law is continued in effect for that purpose. | |
| 17 | 17 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
