| 12 | 12 | Sec. 12.073. LOCAL AGREEMENT. The department shall enter | |
| 13 | 13 | into an agreement with an institution of higher education as | |
| 14 | 14 | defined by Section 61.003, Education Code, located in Cameron or | |
| 15 | 15 | Hidalgo County to increase the availability of laboratory services | |
| 16 | 16 | in counties adjacent to this state's international border with | |
| 17 | 17 | Mexico. | |
| 18 | 18 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
