| 14 | 14 | executive power could produce results detrimental to the safety and | |
| 15 | 15 | well-being of the United States and its people; now, therefore, be | |

| 17 | 17 | RESOLVED, That the 87th Legislature of the State of Texas | |
| 18 | 18 | hereby recognize the importance of the orderly and peaceful | |
| 19 | 19 | transfer of power called for by the United States Constitution and | |
| 20 | 20 | reaffirm that there should be no disruptions by the president or any | |
| 21 | 21 | person in power to overturn the will of the people of the United | |
