R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Marlin Reeves of Trinity School of Texas in Longview
distinguished himself by taking part in the 2021 Texas Association
of Private and Parochial Schools Track and Field State
Championships; and
WHEREAS, Joining other top high school competitors from
throughout Texas at Panther Stadium in Hewitt on April 30,
Mr. Reeves turned in notable performances in the 2A discus and shot
put events; he finished in fifth place in the discus with a throw of
123 feet, 5 inches, and was eighth in the shot put, recording a
distance of 38 feet, 3 inches; and
WHEREAS, By earning the opportunity to compete in this
premier showcase for high school track and field athletes, Marlin
Reeves has ably represented his school and community, and he may
indeed reflect with pride on his accomplishments; now, therefore,
be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Marlin Reeves on his participation
in the 2021 TAPPS Track and Field State Championships and extend to
him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Reeves as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
