| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories |

| 6 | 7 | | of Tammy Romero Broussard of Atascocita, who passed away on January |

| 7 | 8 | | 26, 2021, at the age of 57; and |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Born in Youngsville, Louisiana on April 29, 1963, |

| 9 | 10 | | the former Tammy Romero was the daughter of Ellis and Noemie Romero, |

| 10 | 11 | | and she grew up with the company of three sisters, Jaqueline, Sonia, |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | and Wendy, and a brother, Kevin; and |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Broussard enjoyed a career as an educator, and |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | she also volunteered with St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Community and |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | Family Time Crisis and Counseling Center; and |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Above all else, she was devoted to her loved ones; |

| 16 | 17 | | she shared a rewarding marriage with her husband, David, that |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | spanned 37 years, and she took great pride in her two sons, Trevor |

| 18 | 19 | | and Tristan, and her granddaughter, Elliot; and |

| 19 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Tammy Broussard lived a rich and purposeful life |

| 20 | 21 | | centered around her family, her faith, and her community, and she |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | will forever be remembered with deep affection by all who knew her; |

| 22 | 23 | | now, therefore, be it |

| 23 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |

| 24 | 25 | | Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Tammy Romero |

| 25 | 26 | | Broussard and extend sincere condolences to her relatives and |
