| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Dr. Barbara Odom-Wesley has been reelected to the |

| 7 | 8 | | WHEREAS, In fulfilling the duties of her office, |

| 8 | 9 | | Dr. Odom-Wesley will draw on a wealth of valuable experience; first |

| 9 | 10 | | elected to the council in 2019, she has served on committees for |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | economic development, municipal policy, tax increment reinvestment |

| 11 | 12 | | zones, and transportation and municipal infrastructure; she is the |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | president and founder of Medpro Consulting Services, and she taught |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | for more than four decades as a health care professor at the |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | University of the Incarnate Word, Texas Woman's University, The |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | University of Texas at Arlington, and DeVry University; and |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | WHEREAS, A longtime resident of Arlington, Dr. Odom-Wesley |

| 17 | 18 | | is the daughter of former mayor Elzie Odom; in all her endeavors, |

| 18 | 19 | | she enjoys the love and support of her husband, Curtis, and their |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | three children; and |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | WHEREAS, Each day, public servants improve the quality of |

| 21 | 22 | | life for their fellow citizens in innumerable ways, and the |

| 22 | 23 | | continuing efforts of Dr. Barbara Odom-Wesley will help to make |

| 23 | 24 | | Arlington an even better place in which to live and work; now, |

| 25 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
