45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, Tammy Dubberke of Arlington retired as director of
67 constituent services and office manager for State Representative
78 Chris Turner on March 15, 2021, following more than a decade of
89 exemplary service; and
910 WHEREAS, Ms. Dubberke worked in Representative Turner's
1011 office from 2009 to 2011 and again from 2013 to 2021, and over the
1112 course of her tenure, she tirelessly supported the representative's
1213 efforts in behalf of his constituents; an astute and empathetic
1314 problem-solver, she helped residents with hundreds of matters, from
1415 workers' compensation and unemployment claims to missing child
1516 support payments; through a host of outreach events, she informed
1617 constituents about ways to afford college, lower utility bills,
1718 receive veterans' benefits, and access health care more easily; and
1819 WHEREAS, Ms. Dubberke took part in any meeting that offered
1920 an opportunity to learn about the issues and how to address them,
2021 and she met with elected officials and stakeholders to ensure that
2122 everyday citizens were not forgotten; her knowledge of the
2223 community allowed her to provide vital input to the representative,
2324 and she became the staff expert on transportation, utilities,
2425 health and human services, and many other issues; over the years,
2526 she assisted the representative in the completion of a number of
2627 important projects, including passage of payday lending
2728 ordinances, the Rosa Parks Memorial Parkway, and the Spur 303
2829 pedestrian improvement project; and
2930 WHEREAS, A certified paralegal and graduate of Tarrant County
3031 College, Ms. Dubberke has also served the public as a child support
3132 officer in the Office of the Attorney General in Dallas; she
3233 previously served as a volunteer coordinator for Representative
3334 Turner's campaign and worked as a legal assistant in a private law
3435 practice; early in her career, she honed her customer service
3536 skills as a Southwest Airlines reservation sales agent; and
3637 WHEREAS, Throughout her tenure in the office of
3738 Representative Turner, Tammy Dubberke impressed colleagues and
3839 constituents alike with her exceptional skill, dedication,
3940 initiative, and perseverance, and her contributions have earned the
4041 lasting admiration and appreciation of innumerable people; now,
4142 therefore, be it
4243 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
4344 Legislature hereby honor Tammy Dubberke for her service as director
4445 of constituent services and office manager in the office of State
4546 Representative Chris Turner and extend to her sincere best wishes
4647 for the future; and, be it further
4748 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
4849 prepared for Ms. Dubberke as an expression of high regard by the
4950 Texas House of Representatives.
