| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Nicole Wren has ably served her fellow Texans as an |

| 6 | 7 | | aide in the office of State Representative David Cook during the |

| 7 | 8 | | 87th Legislative Session; and |
|---|
| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Wren has provided vital |

| 9 | 10 | | assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; in |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | service, she has learned more about the legislative process and the |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Wren earned a bachelor's degree in math from |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | Texas A&M University in 2015 and went on to teach Algebra II at a |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | Title I school, where she also started a computer science program |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | before transferring to another campus to help grow a computer |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | science program there as well; she is currently pursuing a master's |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | degree in education policy and planning at The University of Texas |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | at Austin; moreover, she serves as a graduate research assistant |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | with the Texas Advanced Computing Center; and |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | WHEREAS, This noteworthy Texan has performed her duties as a |

| 22 | 23 | | legislative aide with skill and dedication, and she is indeed |

| 23 | 24 | | deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore, |

| 25 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
