45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, Nicole Wren has ably served her fellow Texans as an
67 aide in the office of State Representative David Cook during the
78 87th Legislative Session; and
89 WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Wren has provided vital
910 assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; in
1011 addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public
1112 service, she has learned more about the legislative process and the
1213 issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and
1314 WHEREAS, Ms. Wren earned a bachelor's degree in math from
1415 Texas A&M University in 2015 and went on to teach Algebra II at a
1516 Title I school, where she also started a computer science program
1617 before transferring to another campus to help grow a computer
1718 science program there as well; she is currently pursuing a master's
1819 degree in education policy and planning at The University of Texas
1920 at Austin; moreover, she serves as a graduate research assistant
2021 with the Texas Advanced Computing Center; and
2122 WHEREAS, This noteworthy Texan has performed her duties as a
2223 legislative aide with skill and dedication, and she is indeed
2324 deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore,
2425 be it
2526 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
2627 Legislature hereby commend Nicole Wren for her service as a
2728 legislative aide in the office of State Representative David Cook
2829 and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in all
2930 her endeavors; and, be it further
3031 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3132 prepared for Ms. Wren as an expression of high regard by the Texas
3233 House of Representatives.
