45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, Melody Tsutsumi Cruz of Silva Health Magnet High
67 School has made vital contributions to the COVID-19 response in El
78 Paso County; and
89 WHEREAS, A senior in the licensed vocational nursing program
910 at Silva High, Ms. Tsutsumi Cruz has assisted in administering
1011 COVID-19 vaccinations at the El Paso County Coliseum as part of a
1112 dual-credit course through El Paso Community College; working
1213 alongside University Medical Center of El Paso staff, she has
1314 gained valuable real-world experience while also helping to cut
1415 down on patient wait times; and
1516 WHEREAS, Melody Tsutsumi Cruz has played an important role in
1617 ensuring the safety and well-being of area residents during a
1718 global health crisis, and she is indeed deserving of recognition
1819 for her contributions; now, therefore, be it
1920 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
2021 Legislature hereby honor Melody Tsutsumi Cruz for assisting with
2122 vaccination efforts at the El Paso County Coliseum and extend to her
2223 sincere best wishes for continued success in all her endeavors;
2324 and, be it further
2425 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2526 prepared for Ms. Tsutsumi Cruz as an expression of high regard by
2627 the Texas House of Representatives.
