| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Over the course of the 87th Session, Chief Clerk |

| 8 | 9 | | in carrying out their vital duties to support the work of the |

| 10 | 11 | | WHEREAS, The Chief Clerk's Office is responsible for |

| 11 | 12 | | processing the thousands of bills, amendments, and other documents |

| 12 | 13 | | that are considered during house deliberations, and with more than |

| 13 | 14 | | 100 years of combined legislative experience, the office staff |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | handled that daunting workload and all of its complexities with |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | competence, professionalism, and exceptional good humor; and |

| 16 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Assisting the chief clerk is a resourceful group of |

| 17 | 18 | | employees that includes assistant chief clerk Stephen Brown and |

| 18 | 19 | | bill clerks Mark Cervantes, Andrew Holcomb, Wilfredo Vazquez, Haley |

| 19 | 20 | | Hilderbran, and Kate Atwood; and |

| 20 | 21 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Haney brings a wealth of parliamentary skill and |

| 21 | 22 | | institutional knowledge to his office, and he and his staff merit |

| 22 | 23 | | special recognition for their contributions to the successful daily |

| 23 | 24 | | operations of this legislative session; now, therefore, be it |

| 24 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |

| 25 | 26 | | Legislature hereby commend Robert Haney and the staff of the Chief |

| 26 | 27 | | Clerk's Office for their hard work and dedication and extend to them |
