| 6 | 6 | | WHEREAS, The closing days of the 87th Regular Session offer |

| 7 | 7 | | the opportunity to honor house parliamentarians Sharon Carter and |

| 8 | 8 | | Hugh L. Brady and assistant house parliamentarian Ikenna Okoro, |

| 9 | 9 | | whose dedication and expertise have proven vital to the Texas House |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | of Representatives; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, First appointed to their posts in 2018, Ms. Carter |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | and Mr. Brady have ably guided the speaker and members through the |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | daily proceedings of the legislative session and advised them on |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | legal and parliamentary options in a wide range of matters; |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Mr. Okoro has assisted the parliamentarians in their important work |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | since being appointed to his position during the 86th interim; and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, These dedicated public servants have demonstrated |

| 18 | 18 | | the commitment to excellence and astute attention to detail that |

| 19 | 19 | | are required by their duties, and they may indeed reflect with pride |

| 20 | 20 | | on their fine work as another chapter of the legislature draws to a |

| 22 | 22 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |

| 23 | 23 | | Legislature hereby commend house parliamentarians Sharon Carter |
