| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Jennifer Ramirez was named the 2018-2019 Teacher of |

| 7 | 8 | | WHEREAS, A strong education is vital for young Texans to |

| 8 | 9 | | become successful and productive adults, and those individuals who |

| 9 | 10 | | dedicate their careers to teaching are helping to ensure that the |

| 10 | 11 | | future of the Lone Star State rests in capable hands; and |

| 11 | 12 | | WHEREAS, After attending Stephen F. Austin State University, |

| 12 | 13 | | Ms. Ramirez returned to her hometown of San Antonio to join the |

| 13 | 14 | | faculty at Stafford Elementary in the Edgewood Independent School |

| 14 | 15 | | District, where she has taught for the past 14 years; and |

| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Jennifer Ramirez exemplifies the passion, |

| 16 | 17 | | determination, and innovative spirit that are the hallmarks of our |

| 17 | 18 | | best teachers, and she has set a standard of excellence to which all |

| 18 | 19 | | in her profession may aspire; now, therefore, be it |

| 19 | 20 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
