| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Sarah Campbell has ably served her fellow Texans as |

| 6 | 7 | | a policy analyst in the office of State Representative Gene Wu |

| 7 | 8 | | during the 87th Legislative Session; and |
|---|
| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Campbell has provided |

| 9 | 10 | | vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks, |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | which have included conducting research pertaining to criminal and |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | juvenile justice; in addition to gaining valuable experience in the |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | field of public service, she has learned more about the legislative |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Campbell earned her bachelor's degree in |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | criminal justice from the University of Oklahoma in 2019, and she is |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | currently enrolled at The University of Texas at Austin, where she |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | is expected to graduate with a master's degree in public affairs in |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | May 2022; she has focused on criminal and juvenile justice policy in |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | her coursework, and she has served as a volunteer for both the Texas |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | Prison Education Initiative and the Texas Fair Defense Project; and |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | duties as a policy analyst with skill and dedication, and she is |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, |

| 24 | 25 | | therefore, be it |

| 25 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |

| 26 | 27 | | Legislature hereby commend Sarah Campbell for her service as a |
