| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, This devoted public official has worked tirelessly |

| 10 | 11 | | continue to receive essential public services; although the |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | pandemic has placed immense burdens on the local community, Judge |

| 12 | 13 | | George has risen to this unprecedented challenge, and his efforts |

| 13 | 14 | | have been instrumental in helping Fort Bend County navigate the |

| 14 | 15 | | crisis; and |

| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Elected in 2018, Judge George is the executive of |

| 16 | 17 | | Fort Bend County's governing body and presides over the |

| 17 | 18 | | commissioners court, which oversees the county's more than 3,000 |

| 18 | 19 | | employees and its nearly $400 million budget; moreover, he serves |

| 19 | 20 | | as the director of the Office of Homeland Security and Emergency |

| 20 | 21 | | Management, which is responsible for disaster preparedness in the |

| 22 | 23 | | WHEREAS, KP George's decisive leadership has greatly |

| 23 | 24 | | benefited the citizens of Fort Bend County during a time of crisis, |
