| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Missouri City Mayor Robin J. Elackatt has |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, This devoted public official has worked tirelessly |

| 9 | 10 | | to safeguard the health of area residents while ensuring that they |

| 10 | 11 | | continue to receive essential public services; although the |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | pandemic has placed immense burdens on the local community, Mayor |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | Elackatt has risen to this unprecedented challenge, and his efforts |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | have been instrumental in helping Missouri City navigate the |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | crisis; and |

| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Elected in 2020, Mayor Elackatt previously served as |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | council member for District C; he has been a tireless champion of |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | important city initiatives, including the allocation of more |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | resources for infrastructure, especially sidewalk repairs for all |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | neighborhoods; moreover, he has supported public safety through the |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | establishment of a new police mini-station and upgrades to fire |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | stations; he has been a strong advocate for transparency and |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | accountability in the budget as well; and |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | WHEREAS, Robin Elackatt's decisive leadership has greatly |

| 24 | 25 | | benefited the citizens of Missouri City during a time of crisis, and |
|---|
| 25 | 26 | | he is truly deserving of special recognition for his impressive |
|---|
| 26 | 27 | | achievements; now, therefore, be it |

| 27 | 28 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |

| 28 | 29 | | Legislature hereby commend the Honorable Robin J. Elackatt for his |

| 29 | 30 | | service to Missouri City during the COVID-19 pandemic and extend to |

| 30 | 31 | | him sincere best wishes for continued success in his important |
