| 12 | 13 | | bucks," and learned lessons about respect, courtesy, and other |

| 13 | 14 | | values during their daily rides; his ability to foster a sense of |

| 14 | 15 | | community and inspire engagement among the students of Lake |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | Highlands Elementary captured the attention of Richardson ISD |

| 16 | 17 | | officials, and in his new role with its Human Resources department, |

| 17 | 18 | | he oversees the district's focus on supporting the career |

| 18 | 19 | | development of hourly and paraprofessional staff members; and |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Committed to encouraging kindness and compassion in |

| 20 | 21 | | young Texans, Mr. Jenkins has received recognition for his own acts |

| 21 | 22 | | of generosity; he made headlines around the country after |

| 22 | 23 | | purchasing Christmas gifts for students, and on several occasions, |

| 23 | 24 | | he has also bought Thanksgiving turkeys for families in need; and |

| 24 | 25 | | WHEREAS, Curtis Jenkins has demonstrated commendable |

| 25 | 26 | | dedication to helping students develop as young men and women of |

| 26 | 27 | | good character, and Richardson ISD is fortunate to continue to |

| 27 | 28 | | benefit from his service; now, therefore, be it |
