87R26952 BHH-D By: Morales of Maverick H.R. No. 1453 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the passing of Roberto M. Soto of Del Rio on March 14, 2021, at the age of 76; and WHEREAS, Born on February 10, 1945, "Red" Soto was the son of Alfonso and Concha Soto, and he grew up with the companionship of his two siblings, Anabelle and Alfonso; he enjoyed a rewarding career as a teacher and coach with the San Felipe Independent School District that spanned 36 years; and WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Soto benefited from the love and support of his wife, Rose, with whom he shared a fulfilling union of more than four decades; he was the proud father of two sons, Alan and Robert, and with the passing years, he was further blessed with two grandsons, Alan and Cole; this devoted family man was happiest when his loved ones were all together, and he looked forward to every opportunity to visit with his grandchildren; and WHEREAS, Those who were privileged to share in this treasured man's love and friendship will always remember him with great tenderness and affection; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Roberto M. Soto and extend sincere condolences to all who mourn his passing; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Red Soto.
