5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the |

6 | 7 | | passing of Roberto M. Soto of Del Rio on March 14, 2021, at the age |

8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Born on February 10, 1945, "Red" Soto was the son of |

9 | 10 | | Alfonso and Concha Soto, and he grew up with the companionship of |
---|
10 | 11 | | his two siblings, Anabelle and Alfonso; he enjoyed a rewarding |
---|
11 | 12 | | career as a teacher and coach with the San Felipe Independent School |
---|
12 | 13 | | District that spanned 36 years; and |
---|
13 | 14 | | WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Soto benefited from the |
---|
14 | 15 | | love and support of his wife, Rose, with whom he shared a fulfilling |
---|
15 | 16 | | union of more than four decades; he was the proud father of two |
---|
16 | 17 | | sons, Alan and Robert, and with the passing years, he was further |
---|
17 | 18 | | blessed with two grandsons, Alan and Cole; this devoted family man |
---|
18 | 19 | | was happiest when his loved ones were all together, and he looked |
---|
19 | 20 | | forward to every opportunity to visit with his grandchildren; and |
---|
20 | 21 | | WHEREAS, Those who were privileged to share in this treasured |
---|
21 | 22 | | man's love and friendship will always remember him with great |
---|
22 | 23 | | tenderness and affection; now, therefore, be it |

23 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |

24 | 25 | | Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Roberto M. Soto and |

25 | 26 | | extend sincere condolences to all who mourn his passing; and, be it |
