| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Phillip John Barnett of Weatherford passed away on |

| 6 | 7 | | October 18, 2020, at the age of 77, leaving his loved ones with a |

| 7 | 8 | | wealth of memories that they will forever cherish; and |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Born in Evansville, Indiana, on February 9, 1943, to |

| 9 | 10 | | Jesse and Opal Barnett, Phil Barnett grew up with the companionship |

| 10 | 11 | | of four sisters, Ginger, Phyllis, Dixie, and Opal; he served his |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | country with honor as a member of the United States Army, and from |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | 1961 to 1964, he was assigned to Europe; after returning stateside, |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | he graduated from the University of Evansville with a degree in |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | engineering in 1971; he enjoyed a productive career as a |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | professional engineer and owned his own engineering firm in |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | Weatherford for more than three decades; and |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Barnett shared a remarkable 53 years of marriage |

| 18 | 19 | | with the love of his life, Barbara; the couple raised two daughters, |

| 19 | 20 | | Nichol and Natalie, and they were delighted to welcome into their |

| 20 | 21 | | family six grandchildren, Emilie, Ethan, Zach, Zoe, Mylee, and |

| 21 | 22 | | Maverick, who all brought great joy to their grandfather; and |

| 22 | 23 | | WHEREAS, Those fortunate enough to have known Phil Barnett |

| 23 | 24 | | will remember the way he touched their lives with his warmth, |

| 24 | 25 | | kindness, and devotion, and he will always hold a special place in |
