| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, John Lin has ably served his fellow Texans as a |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Over the course of his tenure, Mr. Lin has provided |

| 9 | 10 | | valuable support to the representative's office, while also |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | handling a wide range of challenging tasks; with characteristic |

| 11 | 12 | | diligence and dedication, he assisted with the representative's |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | work on House Resolution 538, which condemns hate crimes against |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, and he also helped conduct |

| 14 | 15 | | additional legislative research and analysis; along the way, he has |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | earned the respect and admiration of his colleagues for his keen |

| 16 | 17 | | attention to detail, for his varied expertise, and for the care with |

| 17 | 18 | | which he approaches each new assignment; and |

| 18 | 19 | | WHEREAS, A native Texan, Mr. Lin graduated from Clements High |

| 19 | 20 | | School, and he is currently a sophomore at the prestigious Brown |

| 20 | 21 | | University; while there, he has distinguished himself as a |

| 21 | 22 | | published author on topics such as COVID-19; and |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Lin has been blessed with |

| 23 | 24 | | the support of a loving family, which includes his parents, Dave Lin |

| 24 | 25 | | and Rong Cai, and his brother, Jason Lin; and |

| 25 | 26 | | WHEREAS, John Lin has performed his duties as legislative |

| 26 | 27 | | aide with skill and dedication, and he is indeed deserving of |

| 27 | 28 | | special recognition for his fine work; now, therefore, be it |
