45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, Katie Hamilton has ably served her fellow Texans as
67 an intern in the office of State Representative Mike Schofield
78 during the 87th Legislative Session; and
89 WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Hamilton has provided
910 vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks,
1011 including preparing legislative material, tracking and researching
1112 legislation, and managing constituent correspondence; in addition
1213 to gaining valuable experience in the field of public service, she
1314 has learned more about the legislative process and the issues
1415 facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and
1516 WHEREAS, A 2019 graduate of Memorial High School in Houston,
1617 Ms. Hamilton currently studies government at The University of
1718 Texas at Austin; active in her campus community, she has served as
1819 membership chair of Kappa Kappa Gamma, and she is a member of the
1920 Texas Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Fraternity, Turning Point USA, and
2021 Young Conservatives of Texas; and
2122 WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her
2223 duties as a legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is
2324 indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now,
2425 therefore, be it
2526 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
2627 Legislature hereby commend Katie Hamilton for her service as a
2728 legislative intern in the office of State Representative Mike
2829 Schofield and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued
2930 success in all her endeavors; and, be it further
3031 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3132 prepared for Ms. Hamilton as an expression of high regard by the
3233 Texas House of Representatives.
