| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Katie Hamilton has ably served her fellow Texans as |

| 7 | 8 | | during the 87th Legislative Session; and |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Hamilton has provided |

| 9 | 10 | | vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks, |

| 10 | 11 | | including preparing legislative material, tracking and researching |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | legislation, and managing constituent correspondence; in addition |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | to gaining valuable experience in the field of public service, she |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | has learned more about the legislative process and the issues |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | WHEREAS, A 2019 graduate of Memorial High School in Houston, |

| 16 | 17 | | Ms. Hamilton currently studies government at The University of |

| 17 | 18 | | Texas at Austin; active in her campus community, she has served as |

| 18 | 19 | | membership chair of Kappa Kappa Gamma, and she is a member of the |

| 19 | 20 | | Texas Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Fraternity, Turning Point USA, and |

| 20 | 21 | | Young Conservatives of Texas; and |

| 21 | 22 | | WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her |

| 22 | 23 | | duties as a legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is |

| 23 | 24 | | indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, |

| 25 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
