| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Citlali Botello has been named the 2021 Outstanding |

| 6 | 7 | | Student at Amarillo College Moore County Campus; and |

| 7 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Ms. Botello was nominated for the honor by four |

| 8 | 9 | | different ACMCC faculty members, and her exemplary academic |

| 9 | 10 | | performance and involvement in campus and community activities |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | earned her the prestigious distinction; in addition to conducting |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | campus tours and leading tutoring and study groups as a student |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | ambassador, she has participated in events such as the United Way |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | Day of Caring and the Dogie Days parade; over the course of her time |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | at the college, she has also earned repeated placement on the dean's |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | list; and |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | WHEREAS, This notable young Texan graduated from ACMCC on May |

| 17 | 18 | | 14, 2021, with an associate degree in pre-nursing, and she plans to |

| 18 | 19 | | continue her studies at West Texas A&M University; an alumna of |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | Dumas High School, she was a recipient of a QUEST scholarship from |

| 20 | 21 | | the Dumas Education Foundation; and |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | WHEREAS, Citlali Botello has demonstrated a steadfast |

| 22 | 23 | | commitment to academic excellence, and she may reflect with pride |

| 23 | 24 | | on her accomplishments as she looks forward to a future bright with |

| 24 | 25 | | promise; now, therefore, be it |

| 25 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
