R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Rese Schoonover of Stratford High School achieved
great distinction by winning two medals at the 2021 University
Interscholastic League Track & Field State Meet; and
WHEREAS, Closing out her final season of high school
competition, Ms. Schoonover joined the other top athletes in Texas
at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin on May 7; she turned in an
outstanding performance, capturing silver medals in the 100-meter
and 300-meter hurdles with times of 15.12 seconds and 45.62
seconds, respectively; and
WHEREAS, By excelling in the state's premier showcase for
high school track and field athletes, Rese Schoonover has ably
represented her school and community, and she will cherish her
memories of this outstanding accomplishment for years to come; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Rese Schoonover on winning silver
medals in the 2A 100-meter and 300-meter hurdles at the 2021 UIL
Track & Field State Meet and extend to her sincere best wishes for
continued success; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Schoonover as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
