| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Michael A. Najera was appointed as the at-large |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Socorro school board work in |
|---|
| 9 | 10 | | conjunction with administrators, classroom teachers, and parents |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | to foster a supportive and challenging environment at the |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | district's schools; in so doing, they play an essential role in |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | providing students with a strong academic foundation on which to |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | build a bright and prosperous future; and |

| 14 | 15 | | WHEREAS, In accepting the responsibilities of serving on the |

| 15 | 16 | | Socorro school board, Michael Najera has made an exemplary |

| 16 | 17 | | commitment to his fellow citizens, and his vision and leadership |

| 17 | 18 | | will be integral in guiding the district's vital educational |

| 19 | 20 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
