| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories |

| 6 | 7 | | of Doris Pierce Harbor of McKinney, who passed away on February 23, |

| 7 | 8 | | 2021, at the age of 89; and |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, The daughter of Sid and Myrtle Pierce, the former |
|---|
| 9 | 10 | | Doris Pierce was born on December 5, 1931, in New Boston and grew up |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | with four siblings, Ray, James, Winston, and Evelyn; she graduated |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | from New Boston High School in 1945; and |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Throughout her life, Mrs. Harbor dedicated herself |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | to her home and family; she also served as director of |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | internationals at First Baptist Church in Wichita Falls and as an |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | activity director at Presbyterian Manor; moreover, she was a |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | longtime congregant of First Baptist Church in McKinney and served |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | with the church's caregiver ministry; and |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | WHEREAS, In all her endeavors, Mrs. Harbor enjoyed the love |

| 19 | 20 | | and support of her husband, Vance Lenox Harbor, and she took great |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | pride in her children, Van and Hal; with the passing years, she had |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | the pleasure of seeing her family grow to include six grandchildren |

| 22 | 23 | | and four great-grandchildren; and |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | WHEREAS, Doris Harbor led a life of caring devotion to her |

| 24 | 25 | | loved ones, and although she is deeply missed, her spirit will |

| 25 | 26 | | forever live in their hearts; now, therefore, be it |

| 26 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
