| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Latwanna Clark and her daughter, Kay Clark, have |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Latwanna Clark, who had previously worked as a |

| 9 | 10 | | hairdresser and family therapist, decided to transition to a job |

| 10 | 11 | | that would allow her to spend more time with her young daughter; |

| 11 | 12 | | inspired by Kay's fondness for cookies, the mother-daughter duo |

| 12 | 13 | | began selling cookies and other treats in Atlanta, where they lived |

| 13 | 14 | | at the time, and then at the Town East Mall in Mesquite; the success |

| 14 | 15 | | of their kiosk led them to open a brick-and-mortar shop in March |

| 15 | 16 | | 2021; and |

| 16 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Locally owned businesses make a welcome |

| 17 | 18 | | contribution to the prosperity and distinct character of their |

| 18 | 19 | | communities, and it is fitting that this notable enterprise be |

| 19 | 20 | | recognized for the valued service it provides to area residents; |
