5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Family and friends will forever treasure their |

6 | 7 | | memories of Frederic William "Tony" Hall of Kimble County, who |

7 | 8 | | passed away on November 8, 2020, at the age of 81; and |
---|
8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Tony Hall was born in San Angelo to Fred and Martha |
---|
9 | 10 | | Hall on July 13, 1939, and he grew up in Eden with four siblings, |
---|
10 | 11 | | Edwin, David, Nancy, and Diane; in 1963, he married Jane Mears, and |
---|
11 | 12 | | he became the proud father of two sons, Stephen and Andrew; after |
---|
12 | 13 | | his first wife passed away in 1992, he was fortunate to find love |
---|
13 | 14 | | again with his second wife, Judy Black Hall; he had the pleasure of |
---|
14 | 15 | | welcoming into his family two stepsons, Ira and Clay, as well as |
---|
15 | 16 | | three grandchildren, Carson, Grant, and Claire; and |
---|
16 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Following his graduation from Texas A&M University |
---|
17 | 18 | | in 1961, Mr. Hall enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in a field |
---|
18 | 19 | | artillery unit in Bad Kissingen, Germany; returning to civilian |
---|
19 | 20 | | life, he briefly worked as the administrator of the Concho County |
---|
20 | 21 | | Hospital in Eden before earning a master's degree in health care |
---|
21 | 22 | | administration from Trinity University in San Antonio; after |
---|
22 | 23 | | completing a residency at Scott and White Hospital in Temple, he |
---|
23 | 24 | | served for five years as assistant hospital administrator at |
---|
24 | 25 | | Midland Memorial Hospital and for 25 years as the CEO of Sid |
---|
25 | 26 | | Peterson Memorial Hospital in Kerrville; and |
---|
26 | 27 | | WHEREAS, During his years in Kerrville, Mr. Hall was active |
---|
27 | 28 | | with First United Methodist Church and several civic organizations, |
---|
28 | 29 | | and after retiring to a ranch near Junction, he continued to serve |
---|
29 | 30 | | his community through his involvement with the Kimble County Soil |
---|
30 | 31 | | and Water Conservation District, the Kimble County Prescribed Burn |
---|
31 | 32 | | Association, the Kimble County Hospital Foundation Board, and First |
---|
32 | 33 | | United Methodist Church of Junction; and |
---|
33 | 34 | | WHEREAS, A devoted family man, a respected professional, and |
---|
34 | 35 | | an engaged citizen, Tony Hall lived a caring and purposeful life, |
---|
35 | 36 | | and he leaves behind a record of service that his loved ones can |
---|
36 | 37 | | remember with pride; now, therefore, be it |
---|
37 | 38 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
---|
38 | 39 | | Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Frederic William |
---|
39 | 40 | | Hall and extend heartfelt sympathy to all who mourn his passing; |
