45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, Family and friends will forever treasure their
67 memories of Frederic William "Tony" Hall of Kimble County, who
78 passed away on November 8, 2020, at the age of 81; and
89 WHEREAS, Tony Hall was born in San Angelo to Fred and Martha
910 Hall on July 13, 1939, and he grew up in Eden with four siblings,
1011 Edwin, David, Nancy, and Diane; in 1963, he married Jane Mears, and
1112 he became the proud father of two sons, Stephen and Andrew; after
1213 his first wife passed away in 1992, he was fortunate to find love
1314 again with his second wife, Judy Black Hall; he had the pleasure of
1415 welcoming into his family two stepsons, Ira and Clay, as well as
1516 three grandchildren, Carson, Grant, and Claire; and
1617 WHEREAS, Following his graduation from Texas A&M University
1718 in 1961, Mr. Hall enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in a field
1819 artillery unit in Bad Kissingen, Germany; returning to civilian
1920 life, he briefly worked as the administrator of the Concho County
2021 Hospital in Eden before earning a master's degree in health care
2122 administration from Trinity University in San Antonio; after
2223 completing a residency at Scott and White Hospital in Temple, he
2324 served for five years as assistant hospital administrator at
2425 Midland Memorial Hospital and for 25 years as the CEO of Sid
2526 Peterson Memorial Hospital in Kerrville; and
2627 WHEREAS, During his years in Kerrville, Mr. Hall was active
2728 with First United Methodist Church and several civic organizations,
2829 and after retiring to a ranch near Junction, he continued to serve
2930 his community through his involvement with the Kimble County Soil
3031 and Water Conservation District, the Kimble County Prescribed Burn
3132 Association, the Kimble County Hospital Foundation Board, and First
3233 United Methodist Church of Junction; and
3334 WHEREAS, A devoted family man, a respected professional, and
3435 an engaged citizen, Tony Hall lived a caring and purposeful life,
3536 and he leaves behind a record of service that his loved ones can
3637 remember with pride; now, therefore, be it
3738 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
3839 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Frederic William
3940 Hall and extend heartfelt sympathy to all who mourn his passing;
4041 and, be it further
4142 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
4243 prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
4344 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Tony Hall.
