| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Residents of Horizon City elected Scott Quiroz as |

| 7 | 7 | | entrusting him with an important leadership role in local |

| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, In carrying out the responsibilities of his office, |

| 10 | 10 | | Mr. Quiroz is joining with the other members of the city council to |

| 11 | 11 | | address the urgent issues facing the community, and their work will |

| 12 | 12 | | have a lasting influence on the daily lives of their fellow |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | citizens; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, The effective operation of government depends on the |

| 15 | 15 | | able and dedicated efforts of our public servants, and Scott |

| 16 | 16 | | Quiroz's skills and experience are sure to serve him well as he |

| 17 | 17 | | takes on this challenging new role; now, therefore, be it |

| 18 | 18 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
