| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |

| 6 | 7 | | by a great and enduring love, Ben and Betty Dolezal of Houston |

| 7 | 8 | | celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on August 15, 2020; and |
|---|
| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Ben Dolezal and the former Betty Sitz met after her |
|---|
| 9 | 10 | | high school graduation and were united in matrimony at St. Francis |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | de Sales Catholic Church in Houston in 1970; over the years, their |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | family has grown to include three cherished sons, Daniel, Brian, |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | and Wayne; and |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, Mr. Dolezal |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | is a veteran of the U.S. Army who enjoyed a career with Dow Chemical |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | while Mrs. Dolezal was employed with the Cypress-Fairbanks |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | Independent School District; they have embarked on many trips with |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | their family, and in retirement, Mr. Dolezal has dedicated himself |

| 18 | 19 | | to expanding his culinary skills, to the great delight of his wife; |

| 20 | 21 | | WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past |

| 21 | 22 | | half century, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant |

| 22 | 23 | | in their commitment to each other, and the strength of their love |

| 23 | 24 | | has enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it |

| 25 | 26 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |

| 26 | 27 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Ben and Betty Dolezal on their 50th |

| 27 | 28 | | wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
