45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced
67 by a great and enduring love, Ben and Betty Dolezal of Houston
78 celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on August 15, 2020; and
89 WHEREAS, Ben Dolezal and the former Betty Sitz met after her
910 high school graduation and were united in matrimony at St. Francis
1011 de Sales Catholic Church in Houston in 1970; over the years, their
1112 family has grown to include three cherished sons, Daniel, Brian,
1213 and Wayne; and
1314 WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, Mr. Dolezal
1415 is a veteran of the U.S. Army who enjoyed a career with Dow Chemical
1516 while Mrs. Dolezal was employed with the Cypress-Fairbanks
1617 Independent School District; they have embarked on many trips with
1718 their family, and in retirement, Mr. Dolezal has dedicated himself
1819 to expanding his culinary skills, to the great delight of his wife;
1920 and
2021 WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past
2122 half century, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant
2223 in their commitment to each other, and the strength of their love
2324 has enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with
2425 grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it
2526 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
2627 Legislature hereby congratulate Ben and Betty Dolezal on their 50th
2728 wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
2829 continued happiness; and, be it further
2930 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3031 prepared for the couple as an expression of high regard by the Texas
3132 House of Representatives.
