| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, The restaurant got its start in 2018, when pitmaster |

| 9 | 10 | | Derrick Walker began selling barbecue from a food truck in |

| 10 | 11 | | Southeast Fort Worth; the operation moved to a permanent building |

| 11 | 12 | | on Evans Avenue in August 2019, and in a recent expansion, |

| 12 | 13 | | Smoke-A-Holics opened a second location inside Crocket Hall, near |

| 13 | 14 | | the Fort Worth Cultural District; and |

| 14 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Under the direction of Mr. Walker and his wife, |

| 15 | 16 | | Kesha, Smoke-A-Holics BBQ has earned a number of accolades, |

| 16 | 17 | | including a nomination as Best New Restaurant of 2020 in the |

| 17 | 18 | | CultureMap Tastemaker Awards, and it has been featured in Garden & |

| 19 | 20 | | WHEREAS, By creating jobs and furthering the unique character |

| 20 | 21 | | of their communities, locally owned businesses are integral to the |

| 21 | 22 | | Texas economy, and Smoke-A-Holics BBQ is to be commended for |

| 22 | 23 | | furthering the Lone Star State's proud entrepreneurial tradition; |
