| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Luisa White of Foy H. Moody High School has been |

| 7 | 8 | | Christi Independent School District; and |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, A solid education is vital for young people to |

| 9 | 10 | | become successful and productive adults, and those men and women |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | who dedicate their careers to teaching make a positive difference |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | in the lives of their students and in the greater community; and |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | WHEREAS, A former student of Moody High, Ms. White has taught |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | history at the school for seven years; throughout her tenure, she |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | has fostered the personal and academic growth of many young Texans |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | by providing a welcoming and supportive learning environment; and |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Luisa White exemplifies the passion, determination, |

| 17 | 18 | | and innovative spirit that are the hallmarks of our best teachers, |

| 18 | 19 | | and she has set a standard of excellence to which all in her |

| 19 | 20 | | profession may aspire; now, therefore, be it |

| 20 | 21 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
