| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, All who shared in the life of Kelly Diane Plasker of |

| 6 | 7 | | Lubbock were deeply saddened by her death on August 30, 2020, at the |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Kelly Plasker was born on June 17, 1978, at Dover Air |

| 9 | 10 | | Force Base to her loving parents, Deborah and Al, and she grew up |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | with the companionship of a sister, Kristin; she traveled the world |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | during the earlier years of her life before moving to Texas and |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | ultimately settling in Lubbock, where she graduated from Frenship |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | High School in 1996; and |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | WHEREAS, After earning her real estate license, Ms. Plasker |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | started a real estate radio show that launched her career in |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | broadcasting; she was subsequently employed by KRFE AM580 as a |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | morning show cohost, and she went on to work in television with the |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | KMAC weather team; she later served as the weekend weather anchor |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | with KCBD while also cohosting the morning show at FMX 94.5; and |

| 20 | 21 | | WHEREAS, Above all else, Ms. Plasker delighted in her three |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | children, Bailey, Spencer, and Thomas, who preceded his mother in |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | death; and |
|---|
| 23 | 24 | | WHEREAS, While her loss is difficult to bear, Kelly Plasker |

| 24 | 25 | | leaves behind numerous friends and loved ones whose lives are far |

| 25 | 26 | | richer for having known her, and she will always hold a treasured |

| 26 | 27 | | place in their hearts; now, therefore, be it |

| 27 | 28 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |

| 28 | 29 | | Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Kelly Diane Plasker |
