| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Women's History Month, held each March, celebrates |

| 6 | 7 | | the myriad contributions made by women in every field and every |

| 7 | 8 | | facet of our society, and this observance provides a fitting |

| 8 | 9 | | opportunity to recognize the exemplary public service of El Paso |

| 9 | 10 | | County precinct chair Mary Bowles-Gasca; and |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Precinct chairs serve as the ambassadors of their |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | political party, and they take on responsibilities that require |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | tremendous commitment and many hours of hard work; they are |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | integral to the success of their party's mission to elect public |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | servants who will build a better state and nation for today's |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | citizenry and for generations to come; and |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Because public policy affects our daily lives, |

| 17 | 18 | | individuals must exercise their right to vote, and precinct chairs |

| 18 | 19 | | play an important role in the election process; their work to |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | inspire voters to support their party's candidates is part of a |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | proud and vital political tradition; and |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | WHEREAS, The efforts of dedicated precinct chairs such as the |

| 22 | 23 | | Honorable Mary Bowles-Gasca help us continue to fulfill the promise |

| 23 | 24 | | of our democracy, and Ms. Bowles-Gasca is deserving of praise for |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | devoting her time and energy to furthering this worthy goal; now, |

| 25 | 26 | | therefore, be it |

| 26 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |

| 27 | 28 | | Legislature hereby commend the Honorable Mary Bowles-Gasca for her |
