| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, A life made rich through meaningful service drew to |

| 6 | 7 | | a close with the passing of Frank Garza Leal of Pleasanton on |

| 7 | 8 | | February 18, 2020, at the age of 78; and |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, The son of Felipe and Guadalupe Leal, Frank Leal was |

| 9 | 10 | | born in McCoy on April 14, 1941; he grew up with the companionship |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | of four siblings, Esteban, Antonio, Joe, and Felis; and |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Proudly serving his fellow residents, Mr. Leal held |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | the title of Atascosa County Precinct 1 justice of the peace for |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | more than three decades; he previously worked as a deputy with the |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | Atascosa County Sheriff's Office and as a Poteet police officer; |

| 16 | 17 | | WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Leal enjoyed the love and |

| 17 | 18 | | support of his wife, Olivia, with whom he shared a rewarding |

| 18 | 19 | | marriage; he was the devoted father of two children, Rick and |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | Eleanor, and he took great pride in his four grandchildren and his |

| 20 | 21 | | great-grandchild; in his leisure time, he avidly followed the San |

| 21 | 22 | | Antonio Spurs and the Dallas Cowboys, and he liked to hunt and fish; |

| 22 | 23 | | he was a valued member of the Knights of Columbus; and |

| 23 | 24 | | WHEREAS, Deeply dedicated to his family and his community, |

| 24 | 25 | | Frank Leal earned the lasting respect and admiration of all who were |

| 25 | 26 | | privileged to know him; now, therefore, be it |
