| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Dr. Robert G. Robinson of West Texas A&M University |

| 6 | 7 | | celebrated his 50th anniversary with the TAMU System in 2020; and |
|---|
| 7 | 8 | | WHEREAS, In 1970, Bob Robinson began his career as an |
|---|
| 8 | 9 | | assistant county agent in Potter County for the Texas A&M AgriLife |
|---|
| 9 | 10 | | Extension Service, and he steadily rose through the ranks of the |
|---|
| 10 | 11 | | organization to become a special assistant to the director of the |
|---|
| 11 | 12 | | agency; currently, he serves as a part-time professor at WTAMU, |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | where he also benefits the campus as an internship coordinator in |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | the department of agriculture; and |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Deeply dedicated to the university, Dr. Robinson |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | has generously volunteered his time and talents as president of the |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | Buffalo Club and chair of the Hall of Champions; among his many |
|---|
| 17 | 18 | | accomplishments, he has been honored with two TAMU System Vice |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | Chancellor's Awards in Excellence and four Extension Service |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | Superior Service Awards; in addition, WTAMU has established six |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | scholarships in his name, including the Bob and Cleo Robinson |
|---|
| 21 | 22 | | Scholarship for the department of agriculture; and |
|---|
| 22 | 23 | | WHEREAS, An alumnus of West Texas A&M, Dr. Robinson received |

| 23 | 24 | | his bachelor's degree in animal science in 1970, when the school was |
|---|
| 24 | 25 | | named West Texas State University; he went on to earn a master's |
|---|
| 25 | 26 | | degree from Texas A&M University, and he holds a doctoral degree |
|---|
| 26 | 27 | | from Texas Tech University; and |
|---|
| 27 | 28 | | WHEREAS, Over the past five decades, The Texas A&M University |

| 28 | 29 | | System has benefited immeasurably from Dr. Robinson's dedication, |

| 29 | 30 | | expertise, and commitment to excellence, and he may indeed reflect |
|---|
| 30 | 31 | | with pride on his exceptional record of achievement as he continues |

| 31 | 32 | | with his important work; now, therefore, be it |

| 32 | 33 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |

| 33 | 34 | | Legislature hereby commend Dr. Robert G. "Bob" Robinson on the |

| 34 | 35 | | occasion of his 50th anniversary with The Texas A&M University |
