| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, No words can ease the pain caused by a life cut |

| 7 | 8 | | Arbennie Townsend Howard of Dallas may find comfort in their |

| 8 | 9 | | memories of this special young man, who passed away on April 15, |

| 10 | 11 | | WHEREAS, The son of Linda Howard, "JoJo" Howard was born on |

| 11 | 12 | | October 15, 2002; at the time of his passing, he was in his senior |

| 12 | 13 | | year at Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas, where he |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | distinguished himself as a member of the Wildcat football team; |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | this talented athlete had signed to play for Southeastern Oklahoma |
|---|
| 15 | 16 | | State University next year; and |
|---|
| 16 | 17 | | WHEREAS, JoJo Howard set an inspiring example through the |

| 17 | 18 | | warmth, kindness, and joyful spirit that he brought to his every |
|---|
| 18 | 19 | | endeavor, and although tragedy has deprived the world of his |
|---|
| 19 | 20 | | promise, he will forever hold a treasured place in the hearts of |
|---|
| 20 | 21 | | those he leaves behind; now, therefore, be it |

| 21 | 22 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |

| 22 | 23 | | Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Joseph Arbennie |

| 23 | 24 | | Townsend Howard and extend sincere condolences to all who mourn his |

| 24 | 25 | | passing; and, be it further |
