| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Lorraine Garcia has ably served her fellow Texans as |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Garcia has provided |

| 9 | 10 | | vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; |

| 10 | 11 | | in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public |

| 11 | 12 | | service, she has learned more about the legislative process and the |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and |

| 13 | 14 | | WHEREAS, A native of Pampa, Ms. Garcia completed her |

| 14 | 15 | | undergraduate studies at the University of Colorado at Boulder in |

| 15 | 16 | | 2014; she subsequently returned to Texas to work in politics for |

| 16 | 17 | | several years before enrolling at the Texas A&M University School |

| 17 | 18 | | of Law, where she recently graduated; and |

| 18 | 19 | | WHEREAS, This noteworthy young Texan has performed her duties |

| 19 | 20 | | as a legislative aide with skill and dedication, and she is indeed |

| 20 | 21 | | deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore, |

| 22 | 23 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
