| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Tsion Amare has ably served her fellow Texans as an |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Amare has provided |

| 9 | 10 | | vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; |

| 10 | 11 | | in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public |

| 11 | 12 | | service, she has learned more about the legislative process and the |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | WHEREAS, A resident of Dallas, Ms. Amare is currently a |

| 14 | 15 | | student at the University of Houston's Graduate College of Social |

| 15 | 16 | | Work; she was selected as a Fellow in the Moreno/Rangel Legislative |

| 16 | 17 | | Leadership Program, and she looks forward to using the knowledge |

| 17 | 18 | | and skills she has acquired to further her career and to more |

| 18 | 19 | | effectively advocate for social and economic justice; and |

| 19 | 20 | | WHEREAS, This noteworthy Texan has performed her duties as a |

| 20 | 21 | | legislative aide with skill and dedication, and she is indeed |

| 21 | 22 | | deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore, |
