R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Manuel Tellez has made a positive difference in the
lives of many North Texas residents through his nonprofit
organization, Autocare Haven; and
WHEREAS, Aware that many people struggled with unexpected
expenses, such as car repair, Mr. Tellez created Autocare Haven in
2019; the nonprofit provides diagnostic services and essential
automobile repairs, such as tire alignment and battery and brake
pad replacement, at no cost to individuals in Dallas, Tarrant,
Collin, and Rockwall Counties; the program is funded through
community donations and benefits from a partnership with Amazon;
and
WHEREAS, Manuel Tellez has demonstrated an inspiring
commitment to helping the needy and working poor of North Texas, and
in so doing, he has earned the deep respect and appreciation of his
fellow Texans; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
Legislature hereby commend Manuel Tellez for establishing Autocare
Haven and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success
with his important work; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Tellez as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
