| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Manuel Tellez has made a positive difference in the |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Aware that many people struggled with unexpected |

| 9 | 10 | | expenses, such as car repair, Mr. Tellez created Autocare Haven in |

| 10 | 11 | | 2019; the nonprofit provides diagnostic services and essential |

| 11 | 12 | | automobile repairs, such as tire alignment and battery and brake |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | pad replacement, at no cost to individuals in Dallas, Tarrant, |
|---|
| 13 | 14 | | Collin, and Rockwall Counties; the program is funded through |
|---|
| 14 | 15 | | community donations and benefits from a partnership with Amazon; |

| 16 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Manuel Tellez has demonstrated an inspiring |

| 17 | 18 | | commitment to helping the needy and working poor of North Texas, and |

| 18 | 19 | | in so doing, he has earned the deep respect and appreciation of his |

| 19 | 20 | | fellow Texans; now, therefore, be it |

| 20 | 21 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |

| 21 | 22 | | Legislature hereby commend Manuel Tellez for establishing Autocare |
