| 5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, Parten Wakefield, the owner of Shady W Ranch in |

| 7 | 8 | | Ecoregion Award by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department; and |

| 8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Established in 1996 by TPWD, the Lone Star Land |

| 9 | 10 | | Steward Awards celebrate excellence in private land conservation by |

| 10 | 11 | | recognizing landowners for their outstanding stewardship of our |

| 11 | 12 | | state's land, water, habitat, and wildlife resources; and |
|---|
| 12 | 13 | | WHEREAS, The natural beauty and diverse ecologies of the Lone |

| 13 | 14 | | Star State depend greatly on the care and oversight demonstrated by |

| 14 | 15 | | its landowners, and this conscientious and hardworking Texan is |

| 15 | 16 | | helping to preserve precious resources for future generations; now, |

| 17 | 18 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
