5 | 6 | | WHEREAS, For many years, the Honorable Raymond Angelini has |

6 | 7 | | dedicated himself to serving the citizens and community of Bexar |

7 | 8 | | County; and |

8 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Ray Angelini was elected in November 1994 as judge |
---|
9 | 10 | | of the 187th Criminal District Court, and he distinguished himself |
---|
10 | 11 | | in that post for nearly 20 years; following his retirement from the |
---|
11 | 12 | | bench in 2014, he has continued to serve as a visiting judge for a |
---|
12 | 13 | | variety of cases; and |
---|
13 | 14 | | WHEREAS, After receiving his law degree from St. Mary's |
---|
14 | 15 | | University in 1975, Judge Angelini began his career in the Bexar |
---|
15 | 16 | | County District Attorney's Office, where he served as a felony |
---|
16 | 17 | | first chair prosecutor and chief of the juvenile section; in |
---|
17 | 18 | | addition, he has practiced as a private attorney, and in 1984, he |
---|
18 | 19 | | became a board certified specialist in criminal law; and |
---|
19 | 20 | | WHEREAS, In 2012, Judge Angelini received the Honorary Young |
---|
20 | 21 | | Lawyer Award from the San Antonio Young Lawyers Association for his |
---|
21 | 22 | | service to the organization; and |
---|
22 | 23 | | WHEREAS, Ray Angelini's expertise and commitment to |
---|
23 | 24 | | excellence have greatly benefited the citizens of Bexar County, and |
---|
24 | 25 | | he may indeed reflect with pride on his record of achievement; now, |
---|
25 | 26 | | therefore, be it |

26 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |

27 | 28 | | Legislature hereby commend Judge Raymond Angelini for his service |
---|
28 | 29 | | to Bexar County and extend to him sincere best wishes for the |

29 | 30 | | future; and, be it further |

30 | 31 | | RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
