45 R E S O L U T I O N
56 WHEREAS, For many years, the Honorable Raymond Angelini has
67 dedicated himself to serving the citizens and community of Bexar
78 County; and
89 WHEREAS, Ray Angelini was elected in November 1994 as judge
910 of the 187th Criminal District Court, and he distinguished himself
1011 in that post for nearly 20 years; following his retirement from the
1112 bench in 2014, he has continued to serve as a visiting judge for a
1213 variety of cases; and
1314 WHEREAS, After receiving his law degree from St. Mary's
1415 University in 1975, Judge Angelini began his career in the Bexar
1516 County District Attorney's Office, where he served as a felony
1617 first chair prosecutor and chief of the juvenile section; in
1718 addition, he has practiced as a private attorney, and in 1984, he
1819 became a board certified specialist in criminal law; and
1920 WHEREAS, In 2012, Judge Angelini received the Honorary Young
2021 Lawyer Award from the San Antonio Young Lawyers Association for his
2122 service to the organization; and
2223 WHEREAS, Ray Angelini's expertise and commitment to
2324 excellence have greatly benefited the citizens of Bexar County, and
2425 he may indeed reflect with pride on his record of achievement; now,
2526 therefore, be it
2627 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
2728 Legislature hereby commend Judge Raymond Angelini for his service
2829 to Bexar County and extend to him sincere best wishes for the
2930 future; and, be it further
3031 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3132 prepared for Judge Angelini as an expression of high regard by the
3233 Texas House of Representatives.
